Vision

We envision a global technology landscape led by individuals committed to the pursuit of humanistic leadership, instilling deep public trust and laying the groundwork for strong global collaboration. Our goal is that year over year as the Technology Leaders Initiative builds and as Fellows begin to lead differently, thousands of people in the sector begin to act differently.

For 75 years, the Aspen Institute has cultivated leaders who see beyond immediate challenges, preventing future global conflicts by giving the tools to find common ground across seemingly insurmountable divides. The Technology Leaders Initiative will transform the moral imagination of influential players in the global technology ecosystem, bridging both digital and geographic borders to build a new narrative for leadership in the next digital era.

Benefits of Participation

The Fellowship is designed for entrepreneurs and practitioners who have achieved considerable success, and are at an inflection point in their lives or careers—looking toward the broader role they might take on in their communities or globally.

The Fellowship provides a threefold benefit to Fellows at this stage in their life:

1) Reflection on how they lead in their homes, at work, and in the world at large

2) Participation in a global network of leaders who support each other and hold each other accountable to the highest standards of integrity

3) Support and encouragement from the fellowship leadership team, as well as others in their cohort, to move beyond personal success toward driving positive societal change by  stepping up to address a pressing social and economic challenge in the digital ecosystem.

A Community to Catalyze Impact

Over 75 years, the Aspen Institute has developed one of the largest and most impactful global networks of leaders stewarding social change. Leveraging the work of its founders, the Institute developed geographic and sector-specific Fellowships that connect purpose-driven individuals and move them from thought to action on major societal issues.

The Technology Leaders Initiative is part of the Aspen Global Leadership Network, a community of more than 4,000 experienced leaders from 60+ countries who complete one of 16+ two-year, cohort-based global Fellowship programs.
