On Thursday, September 8, 2022, the Aspen Institute Energy and Environment Program hosted A Conversation on Historic Climate Action with Gina McCarthy and Ali Zaidi.

White House Climate Advisor and former EPA head Gina McCarthy discussed last month’s signing of President Biden’s climate bill and her hopes for more action on climate policy. The conversation, moderated by Justin Worland of TIME, also included Deputy Administrator Ali Zaidi, who will take over from McCarthy when she departs the administration later this month and David Hayes who is a legal scholar serving as Special Assistant to the President for Climate Policy.
